Mr. Berquist, a Managing Partner with 40 years of industry experience, serves on Accord’s Investment Committee and Executive Committee. Prior to co-founding Accord, Mr. Berquist served as a Managing Director with Macquarie Capital in its Real Estate Private Capital Markets Group. Prior to co-founding Compass Equity Advisors LLC and Presidio Partners LLC, Mr. Berquist was a Managing Director at Banc of America Securities LLC, forming and leading its Real Estate Private Equity Group from 1997 to 2003. Under his direction, the group raised over $5.3 billion of equity capital for privately-placed commingled funds, institutional joint ventures and preferred and common stock for REITs and real estate operating companies. Prior to that, he spent 13 years in New York in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch.

 

Mr. Berquist earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago and graduated magna cum laude with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Economics and Business Administration from Vanderbilt University. Mr. Berquist is Chairman of the Board of QSuper RE LLC and sits on Board of Directors for the IL&FS India Realty Fund II LLC. He is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), the European Association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles (INREV) and the Asian Association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles (ANREV) and is an associate of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Mr. Berquist is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Mr. Co, a Managing Partner with 25 years of industry experience, serves on Accord’s Investment Committee and Executive Committee. Prior to co-founding Accord, Mr. Co was a Managing Director with Macquarie Capital in its Real Estate Private Capital Markets Group, where he most recently served as Head of European Real Estate Private Capital Markets. Mr. Co has served as the Portfolio Manager for Compass Equity Advisors LLC since its founding in 2006. Prior to co-founding Presidio Partners LLC, Mr. Co was a Vice President with Banc of America Securities LLC in its real estate private equity practice. He joined the firm as a member of the real estate investment banking group in 1997, where he participated in the execution of more than $3 billion in real estate debt, equity and M&A transactions on behalf of several opportunity funds, REITs and private real estate companies. Prior to joining BAS, Mr. Co was a Senior Accountant with Ernst & Young LLP in San Francisco.

 

Mr. Co earned a Master of Business Administration degree with Distinction from the University of Michigan Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles. Mr. Co is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), the European Association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles (INREV) and the Asian Association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles (ANREV).

Mr. Sobczynski, who has 28 years of industry experience, is the Managing Partner overseeing the day-to-day management of Accord Equity Advisors LLC and serves on Accord’s Investment Committee and Executive Committee. Prior to co-founding Accord in 2013, Mr. Sobczynski served as a key principal and a member of the investment committee for Mesirow Financial Institutional Real Estate (MFIRE) for six years. While at MFIRE, he led investments in the Americas and participated in approximately 30 fund investments representing $350 million in equity commitments. Prior to MFIRE, Mr. Sobczynski led the Midwest practice of the Lease Consulting Group at Deloitte & Touche. While at the firm, he served a variety of corporate and equity real estate clients with a specialization in real estate due diligence and M&A activity, ranging from single-asset and portfolio purchases to large public mergers, representing over $50 billion in commercial real estate.

 

Mr. Sobczynski received a Master of Education degree from the University of Illinois and a Bachelors degree in Finance from Michigan State University. Mr. Sobczynski is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA).

Mr. Jackson is a Managing Partner with 19 years of industry experience and serves on Accord’s Investment Committee and Executive Committee. Prior to joining Accord, Mr. Jackson was a founding partner at Lakestar Capital, which focused on special situations real estate corporate finance. Lakestar advised private equity real estate managers on all capital raising, from primary to secondary and separate accounts. Prior to that, he was a Partner and served as Head of Real Estate Corporate Finance at Matrix Corporate Capital, where he focused on capital raising and fund products as well as individual and portfolio transactions. Mr. Jackson has also held management positions in corporate finance at Dawnay Day and Henderson Global Investors. Mr. Jackson started his career in audit at Swiss Re and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

 

Mr. Jackson received an LLB with Honours from the University of Dundee. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, European Association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles (INREV) and the Securities and Investment Institute (FCA approved person).

Ms. Peterson, who has over 22 years of real estate and capital raising experience, serves as a Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Accord, she was Director of Capital Markets for Pacific Urban Residential, a multifamily investor and operator focused on urban West Coast markets. Prior to that, she was a Senior Vice President with Macquarie Capital’s Real Estate Private Capital Markets Group. Prior to that, Ms. Peterson was a founding member and Senior Vice President at Presidio Partners LLC. Ms. Peterson also served as Assistant Portfolio Manager and Senior Vice President at Compass Equity Advisors LLC. Previously, she was a member of the real estate investment banking group at Lehman Brothers, as well as the firm’s healthcare and media & telecom investment banking teams and its municipal finance group. Ms. Peterson has also served as Consultant to the International Finance Corporation (World Bank) in Beijing, China.

 

Ms. Peterson received her Master of Business Administration degree from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in the Political Economy of Industrial Societies from the University of California, Berkeley (summa cum laude). She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Stanford Professionals in Real Estate (SPIRE), Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) and Women in Real Estate (WIRE) and is a board member of Filipinos in Institutional Real Estate (FIIRE).

Mr. Loh, who has over 20 years of real estate experience, serves as a Senior Consultant to Accord. Prior to Accord, he was an Executive Director at CDH Investments, where he was responsible for investments and capital raising for their real estate funds.  Previously, Mr. Loh was a Vice President and Acquisitions Officer of JP Morgan Asset Management. Mr. Loh has also held management positions at Perry Capital, Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners and AIG Global Real Estate.  Mr. Loh started his career at GIC Real Estate.

 

Mr. Loh graduated magna cum laude from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University.  Mr. Loh is a past vice president of the Cornell Hotel School Hong Kong and Macau Chapter.

Mr. Price, who has over 25 years of real estate experience, serves as a Senior Advisor to Accord. Prior to Accord, he was CEO of CBRE Global Investors Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for the leadership and management of the firm’s private equity real estate investment management business in the Asia Pacific region.  Previously, Mr. Price was CEO Asia of ING Real Estate Investment Management. Mr. Price has also held management positions at ING Clarion in New York and started his career at Brooke Hillier Parker in Hong Kong and Beijing.

 

Mr. Price received a Bachelor of Arts with Joint Honors from the University of Leeds in the UK and completed the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.  Mr. Price is a Trustee, Foundation Governor and former member of the Global Board of Directors for the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He is a former Board Member of AFIRE (Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate), and ANREV (Asian Association of Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles). Mr Price is a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Chayora Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong-based data center investment and operating business and is a member of the Advisory Board of Juniper Square, a San Francisco-based real estate technology company.

Mr. Clarke, who has over 30 years of real estate experience, serves as a Senior Advisor to Accord. Prior to Accord, he was Senior Managing Director & Head of Investors Services EMEA of CBRE Global Investors, where he was responsible for capital raising and investor relations in the EMEA region.  While at CBRE, he was also a member of the firm’s Global Leadership Team, as well as its European Executive Committee and European Operations Committee, responsible for setting and executing CBRE’s strategy in EMEA. Previously, Mr. Clarke was Senior Managing Director of Mesirow Financial, where he acted as co-portfolio manager for a global fund of funds program focused on value-add and opportunistic real estate. Mr. Clarke has also held management positions at Schroders Investment Management and founded its multi-manager business in 1997. He started his career at Hillier Parker.

 

Mr. Clarke received a Bachelor of Science with Honors from Oxford Brookes University.  He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (“MRICS”) and holds an Investment Management Certificate (“IMC”).  Mr. Clarke is a Member of the Management Board, course leader and former chairman of the Secondary Market and Liquidity Committee for the European Indirect Real Estate Funds Association (“INREV”). Mr. Clarke is a mentor with the Oxford Brookes Estate Management mentor program.

Mr. Hunt, who has 23 years of industry experience, serves as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Accord, he was the Chief Financial Officer for WinnResidential, the fifth largest firm in residential property management in the United States. At Winn, he was responsible for its accounting, reporting, treasury, and information technology related functions. Prior to that, he was the Chief Accounting Officer for Essex Property Trust, Inc., a public multifamily real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on supplied constrained West Coast markets. Prior to that, Mr. Hunt spent 10+ years in public accounting for such firms as Deloitte & Touche LLP, KPMG LLP, and Arthur Andersen LLP, primarily in the area of the audit of public and private real estate companies and institutional funds. 

 

Mr. Hunt received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with an emphasis in International Relations from the University of California at Los Angeles. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the California State Board of Accountancy and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He is a member of the Advisory Board of Facilgo, Inc., a San Francisco-based real estate technology company.

Mr. Cuneo, who has over 7 years of industry experience, serves as a Vice President. Prior to joining Accord, Mr. Cuneo worked in Capital Markets and Acquisitions for Chambers Street Properties (NYSE: CSG; now Gramercy Property Trust). Prior to that, Mr. Cuneo worked as part of the real estate development and acquisitions team on behalf of a large private family office. Previously, Mr. Cuneo was an Investment Banking Analyst in the Real Estate and Lodging Group at Citigroup.

 

Mr. Cuneo earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Claremont McKenna College.

Mr. James, who has over 4 years of industry experience, serves as a Vice President. Prior to joining Accord, Mr. James worked as an attorney at Jones Day. Prior to that, Mr. James worked within the Real Estate Private Capital Markets Group at Macquarie Capital and Global Real Estate Multi-Managers & Securities team at UBS Global Asset Management.

Mr. Gonzalez, who has over 13 years of industry experience, serves as Director of Financial Reporting. Prior to joining Accord, Mr. Gonzalez worked as an Assistant Vice President – Financial Reporting for Global Logistics Properties (GLP). Prior to that, Mr. Gonzalez worked as a Portfolio Controller for Callahan Capital Properties.

Mr. Gonzalez earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Virginia Board of Accountancy.

Mr. Chen, who has over 6 years of industry experience, serves as an Associate. Prior to joining Accord, Mr. Chen worked in acquisitions for Resource Real Estate, Inc. (a subsidiary of C-III Capital Partners). Prior to that, Mr. Chen worked as an Investment Banking Associate in the Real Estate Group of FBR Capital Markets.

Mr. Wiener, who has over 4 years of industry experience, serves as a Junior Associate. Prior to joining Accord, Mr. Wiener worked on West Coast office investments at Shorenstein Properties. Prior to that, Mr. Wiener worked on debt origination at Metlife Real Estate Investors. ​

Mr. Grossman serves as an Analyst. Prior to joining Accord, Mr. Grossman interned at Cresa San Francisco where he worked on both the Consulting and Life Sciences teams. Prior to that, Mr. Grossman interned at Golden Springs Development, a Southern California real estate developer, where he worked on industrial, office and retail development projects.

Mr. Grossman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley.
