Mr. Berquist, a Managing Partner with 40 years of industry experience, serves on Accord’s
Management Committee, Investment Committee and Executive Committee. Prior to co-founding
Accord, Mr. Berquist served as a Managing Director with Macquarie Capital in its Real Estate Private
Capital Markets Group. Prior to co-founding Compass Equity Advisors LLC and Presidio Partners LLC,
Mr. Berquist was a Managing Director at Banc of America Securities LLC, forming and leading its Real
Estate Private Equity Group from 1997 to 2003. Under his direction, the group raised over $5.3
billion of equity capital for privately-placed commingled funds, institutional joint ventures and
preferred and common stock for REITs and real estate operating companies. Prior to that, he spent
13 years in New York in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Berquist earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago
and graduated magna cum laude with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Economics and Business
Administration from Vanderbilt University. Mr. Berquist is Chairman of the Board of QSuper RE LLC
and sits on the Board of Directors for the IL&FS India Realty Fund II LLC. He is a member of the
Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), the European Association for Investors in Non-listed Real
Estate Vehicles (INREV) and the Asian Association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles
(ANREV) and is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
